In a bid to reach our goal, we set out on a journey to Ale Community in Warri, Delta State to educate the girls on proper menstrual hygiene management. It was indeed a refreshing and interesting time as the community welcomed and led us to their hall where we had a chit-chat with the girls.
The girls where taught what to do during menstruation, how to calculate their menstrual cycle and safe hygiene routines to practice everyday whether their seeing their period or not as this would avoid them from getting infections.
Our CEO, shared some entertaining stories and jokes that lightened up the atmosphere and got the girls laughing.
The event wasn't over until we distributed FREE sanitary pads for them. It was a very impactful outreach.
